Delete your ClariDoc account
ClariDoc gives you control over your account and data. You can request permanent deletion of your ClariDoc account and the personal data associated with it.
1. Delete your account from ClariDoc
- Sign in to your ClariDoc account at claridoc.app.
- Open Billing & plan from the main navigation (the Billing item in the sidebar, or the More menu on mobile).
- Scroll to the Delete account section at the bottom of the page.
- Select Delete account, then type DELETE in the confirmation box.
- Select Delete permanently. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Export or download anything you want to keep first.
2. Can’t access your account?
If you cannot sign in, email data@claridoc.app with “Account deletion request” in the subject line, and include the email address associated with your ClariDoc account.
Please do not send passwords, uploaded documents or other sensitive information by email. We may need to verify that you own the account before we delete it, and we respond within 30 days.
3. What happens when you delete your account?
When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed from ClariDoc:
- Account information — your sign-in record, profile (name, avatar, notification and onboarding preferences) and any role assignments.
- Uploaded files — every document, letter, bill or photo you uploaded is deleted from our document storage.
- Analyses and user-created content — summaries, extracted details, your edits to those details, document comparisons and feedback you submitted.
- Folders, actions, reminders and timeline entries — your folders, action checklists, reminders, inbox items and life/work admin events.
- Sharing — household or workspace access you granted to others, and pending invitations you sent, are revoked.
- Analysis allowance records — your credit balance history and subscription record within ClariDoc.
Some information may be retained for a limited period where we are legally required to keep it, or where it is necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting or regulatory reasons:
- Payment and tax records — our payment provider (Stripe) retains invoice and transaction records for UK accounting purposes, typically for up to 6 years. These are held by the payment provider, not in your ClariDoc account.
- Security and operational logs — limited technical logs (for example error and abuse-prevention records) may persist for a short period, normally no more than 90 days.
- Backups — deleted data can remain in encrypted database backups until those backups expire on their normal rotation.
Retained information is deleted or anonymised once the applicable legal or security retention requirement ends.
4. Subscriptions
Deleting your ClariDoc account does not automatically cancel a subscription that is billed by an external provider. ClariDoc subscriptions bought on the website are billed by Stripe — cancel through Billing & plan → Manage subscription before deleting your account. If you subscribed through an app store (for example Google Play), cancel the subscription in that store’s subscription settings. If you need help, contact accounts@claridoc.app.
