1. Who we are
ClariDoc ("we", "us") is a UK-based service that helps users understand documents. This policy explains how we process personal data as a data controller under UK GDPR.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, avatar, authentication provider.
- Documents: files you upload and the AI-generated analysis of those files.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store subscription state, not card numbers.
- Usage data: aggregated events used to improve the product.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the ClariDoc service (analysing your documents, showing them back to you).
- To manage billing and subscriptions.
- To send transactional and service emails.
- To detect abuse and secure the platform.
We do not use your documents to train AI models.
4. Sharing
We share data only with the sub-processors required to run the service (Supabase for storage and auth, Stripe for payments, an AI gateway for analysis). We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
Documents and analyses are retained while your account is active. You can delete any document at any time. You can permanently delete your account and its data from Billing & plan → Delete account, or by following our account deletion guide. Deletion removes your account, uploaded files, analyses, folders, actions and reminders; limited payment records are retained by our payment provider for up to 6 years for accounting purposes, and encrypted backups expire on their normal rotation.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to processing. Email data@claridoc.app.
