Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. This page describes how ClariDoc handles your personal data.

1. Who we are

ClariDoc ("we", "us") is a UK-based service that helps users understand documents. This policy explains how we process personal data as a data controller under UK GDPR.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, avatar, authentication provider.
  • Documents: files you upload and the AI-generated analysis of those files.
  • Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store subscription state, not card numbers.
  • Usage data: aggregated events used to improve the product.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide the ClariDoc service (analysing your documents, showing them back to you).
  • To manage billing and subscriptions.
  • To send transactional and service emails.
  • To detect abuse and secure the platform.

We do not use your documents to train AI models.

4. Sharing

We share data only with the sub-processors required to run the service (Supabase for storage and auth, Stripe for payments, an AI gateway for analysis). We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Documents and analyses are retained while your account is active. You can delete any document at any time. If you close your account, we delete personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it (e.g. tax records).

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to processing. Email privacy@claridoc.app.
